Govt policies helped improve investment opportunities: Pervaiz Rashid
Attendance at Pakistan Investment Conference doubled compared to the last year, says Info Minister
ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rashid has on Thursday said that the government policies have helped improve the investment opportunities in Pakistan. He said that the attendance at Pakistan Investment Conference has doubled compared to the last year, reported Dunya News.
Talking to a news conference along with Chairman Investment Board Miftah Ismail at the end of the 2-day Pakistan Investment Conference, Pervaiz Rashid said that 300 delegates had attended the investment conference last year but this year the conference was attended by 620 delegates. He said that an investor would always invest in a country where he finds justice and knows that his money is safe. “If there are no opportunities for investment in a country or the place is not peaceful, the investor would take his money back”, said Rashid.
The federal minister said that the increase in the number of delegates reflects the rising faith of the investors in government’s policies. He said that Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves have augmented while all the major surveyors have declared Pakistan as fit for investment.
Miftah said on this occasion that companies of all sizes from far and wide of Pakistan attended this conference. “Out of the total 620 delegates, 285 were foreign companies while 335 were local”, said Miftah.
