Khan supports egoistic politics, says former NA speaker

LAHORE (Dunya News) – NA-122 candidate and former National Assembly (NA) speaker Ayaz Sadiq on Friday has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan did not need to come if Aleem Khan was a strong candidate.

He expressed these views in a gathering where Jamiat Ulema-Islam-Samiul Haq (JUI-S) pledged alliance with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) in Lahore.

Sadiq said that PTI’s popularity graph is different than 2013 as the party had gotten sympathetic votes then due to Imran Khan’s crane accident. While criticizing PTI’s candidate for NA-122 by-election, former NA speaker said that had Aleem Khan a strong candidate, Imran would not have come to Lahore.

He alleged Khan of supporting egoistic politics and said that his only goal is to become prime minister (PM) of Pakistan.
