PP-16 by-elections: Jahangir Khanzada wins
Jehangir Khanzada has won the elections as per final vote count
ATTOCK (Dunya News) – Vote counting for PP-16 by-elections has been done as son of Shuja Khanzada, Jehangir Khanzada has won the elections on Tuesday, reported Dunya News.
According to unofficial results, PML-N Jahangir Khanzada won the election by getting 44,286 votes while the second placed independent candidate, Dr Naeem Awan, garnered 4371 votes. Tight security arrangements were made during polling process. There were 137 polling stations in the constituency of which 36 were declared sensitive. The number of registered voters in PP-16 is 26679.
It is pertinent to mention here that seat fell vacant after the death of Interior Minister Punjab Shuja Khanzada.
