Karachi's Jinnah Hospital sees strike on fourth day, OPDs shut
Dozens of operations have been delayed today as well
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Paramedical staff of Jinnah Hospital’s child health department on Thursday is continuing strike for provision of health allowance on fourth day and the Outdoor Patient Departments (OPD) are closed.
Patients are suffering due to the strike as staffers refuse to treat them.
Dozens of operations have been delayed today as well. The health department made an attempt to negotiate with the medics however, the medics turned down the offer.
The protesting staff has vowed to continue strike until restoration of Health Risk Allowance.
The paramedical staff went on a strike on September 14.
