Karachi operation is being headed by Chief Minister Sindh, he said

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rashid on Tuesday said if the government was revengeful, it would target those who leveled allegations and threatened, adding that the issue of Dr Asim has nothing to do with politics, Dunya News reported.

He said there’s no evidence that links Dr Asim’s case to political vengeance and that Karachi operation is being headed by Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah.

Talking to the media in Islamabad, the federal minister said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan chose D-Chowk for politicking twice, adding that the government doesn’t even know what are the demands.

He challenged Imran Khan to compete with Sardar Ayaz Sadiq in Lahore’s NA 122 constituency’s by-election.

Speaking about Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) lawmakers’ resignations, he said the government accepts mandate of all parties. He said the government wants to work together with all political parties in order to strengthen the system.

Each political party is independent to make its own decisions, he said, adding that they are trying to convince MQM to withdraw resignations. He said they hope that MQM will pay head to what they are saying and return to the parliament.
