Resolution in NA condemning Altaf Hussain's speech on the cards
Sirajul Haq says genie is out of bottle; Mushahidullah says MQM, Altaf central to Karachi’s crime
ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Senator Pervaiz Rashid has on Monday said a resolution condemning Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain’s statements can be brought in the National Assembly. As the reaction to Altaf’s speech gets stronger, Jamaat Islami (JI) chief Sirajul Haq has said that the genie is out of the bottle while Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) leader Mushahidullah Khan says that MQM and Altaf are central to Karachi’s crime, reported Dunya News.
Resolution condemning Altaf Hussain’s speech against Pakistan army has become more probable. Pervaiz Rashid said that Altaf Hussain is calling the NATO to intervene into Pakistan while he himself is wanted in many NATO countries. He said that Altaf Hussain has become a black mark on the name of Urdu-speaking people. He said that law will take its course against those trying to play with the national interest.
JI head Sirajul Haq said that since the genie is now out of the bag, Altaf Hussain’s speeches should be looked at in legal perspective, not political.
PML-N senator Musshahidullah said that Altaf Hussain and MQM are central to the crimes in Karachi. He said that the nation has rejected Altaf Hussain.
Home Minister Punjab Shuja Khanzada has said that it is time for action against Altaf Hussain, not mere resolutions condemning his statements.
