Torrential rains cause roofs to collapse, 12 lives lost across country

At least 20 people lost their lives across the country on August 2

LAHORE (Dunya News) – As many as 12 people by Monday have lost lives in different rain-related incidents in different parts of country.

At least two people have been swept away by floods while as many as 15 people are injured. Roof of houses in different areas have caved due to torrential rains. At least six people have died in Mamund Tehsil of Bajaur Agency after roof of a house collapsed leaving five wounded.

Separately, in Bhalwal roof of a seminary collapsed in Ashraf Colony claiming life of a man. In Dhangana area of Kundian, roof collapse claimed a life while left four injured.

A father and daughter lost their lives in Talagang in rain-related incident. As many as four people have been reported injured in a roof collapse incident in Gujranwala’s Maralawala area.

At least 20 people lost their lives across the country on August 2 in rain-related incidents. A 13-year-old was swept away by floods in nullah in Kala Bagh. Lakki Marwat’s Seem Nullah has also claimed a life in the recent rains.
