Bol was given license before our govt, we cancelled its security clearance, Info Minister says

ISLAMABAD: (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rashid has on Tuesday said that there is no anarchy in Punjab. He said that there was just a protest held and it cannot be equated with anarchy. Information Minister said that Bol TV was not given the license during the current government. “In fact our government cancelled its security clearance”, Rashid said, reported Dunya News.

Talking to the media today, Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) leader said that there was a protest held in Punjab over the tragic Daska incident but there was no chaos in the province. He said that the government took notice of the matter immediately and requested a judicial inquiry of the Daska incident.

Rashid said that the government will make sure that the culprits are brought to justice.

Responding to a question regarding the measures taken by the government for providing relief to the public, Information Minister said that the current government’s entire year passed in providing financial relief to the people and planning public-friendly projects.

Talking about challenging Chairman PEMRA Chaudhry Rasheed’s restoration in Supreme Court, Rashid said that the government will definitely exercise its right because it believes that Rasheed’s appointment wasn’t transparent.
