Govt will keep providing journalists with facilities they need to perform duties: Pervez Rasheed
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Information Pervez Rasheed said on Friday that the security of media and journalists is their government’s top priority, he was chairing the meeting of the committee for journalist’s security in Islamabad.
Pervez Rasheed said that government will continue to provide journalists with facilities they need to perform their duties. He said that they will solve all the problems faced by media representatives and journalists. He said that their government thinks of media as an important pillar of democracy.
Pervez Rasheed ordered the Principal Information Officer of Press Information Department (PID) to organize a workshop for media representatives, with the help of police, to train media persons about handling emergency situations.
