We have completed survey of 1530 homes, relief camps have also been set for victims: Mushtaq Ghani

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Spokesperson of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government and provincial minister of information Mushtaq Ghani said on Wednesday that their government is estimating the amount of damage done by rainstorm. He was briefing the media after the session of provincial cabinet.

Mushtaq said that they have completed the survey of 1530 households so far and relief camps have also been set for the victims by Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA). He said that KP government has provided extra money and sources to the administrations of Peshawar, Charsadda and Nowshera, in order to keep the relief work smooth. Mushtaq said that they have also started to distribute 3 lac rupees per head, to the families of the deceased.

Answering a question about KP government’s policies against corruption, he said that the provincial cabinet has approved the ‘Whistle Blowers’ act 2015 to monitor corruption. He said that this act will ensure the privacy and security of the informer. Mushtaq said that the informers will also be rewarded with the prize money.

He said that the cabinet approved the amendment in Right to Information Act, expansion in Parent Teachers Council’s authority and KP tourism policy 2015.
