Sindh govt postpones tax collection from transporters
Sindh govt postponed 5% tax-collection; in return, transporters postponed their strike for a week
KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Sindh government on Monday has postponed collection of 5 percent transport service tax from transporters in Sindh upon which Goods Transport and Oil Tankers Contractors Associaton postponed their strike call for one week, reported Dunya News.
According to All Pakistan Oil Tankers Contractors Association leader Suleman Tareen, strike call has been withdrawn in view of the assurances given by Commissioner Karachi. It is pertinent to mention here that transporters’ organizations had announced strike for indefinite period if their demands were not met within seventy two hours.
