Peshawar: Principal suspended for opening school without security

More than 300 children were enrolled in the Pishtakhara Primary School.

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Education Department on Tuesday suspended the school principal for opening the Pishtakhara Primary School without ensuring the security arrangements, Dunya News reported.

According to sources, school administration of Government Primary School opened the school without building the walls and fulfilling other security arrangements. Children were busy in studying while sitting openly under the sky.

Administration stated that more than 300 students have been enrolled in the school whereas the school walls have not been made since years.

Earlier, provincial government ordered to raise the school walls and appoint trained security guards. Government also directed the administration for not giving NOC to the schools lacking proper security arrangements but Pishtakhara primary school violated the instructions.

Assistant Education Officer suspended the school principal after the news broke on Dunya News whereas students have been shifted to another school to continue their education.
