Politicians made interesting comments at wedding, Fazal says Imran is elder to him, can't comment

LAHORE: (Web Desk) – Politicians made interesting comments on Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan’s wedding to the TV anchor Reham Khan. Federal Minister for Planning and Development Chaudhry Ahsan Iqbal said that Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) didn’t want Imran Khan to be celebrating his honey-moon at D-Chowk and therefore, will contact PTI to restart talks on rigging probe.
Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique said that marriage is Prophet’s (s.a.w.w) Sunnah and congratulated Imran Khan on the wedding.
Jamiat Ulema Islam – Fazl (JUI-F) leader Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman said, “Imran Khan is elder to me. How can I comment?”
Celebrities related to sports and showbiz also expressed pleasure over Imran’s marriage. Former Test cricketer Intikhab Alam, while talking to Dunya News, congratulated Imran Khan on his wedding. One of the most prominent members of 1992 World Cup squad of Pakistan, Inzamamul Haq also congratulated his former captain.
Actor Mustafa Qureshi said while talking to Dunya News that opponents previously had to face one ‘Khan’ only, now they will have to face two.
Imran Khan’s wedding is being considered a gust of wind in the strained political situation of the country. On the other hand, workers celebrated the marriage by dancing on roads, distributing sweets and congratulating each other. Female supporters of PTI arranged ‘Dholki’ functions.
DJ Butt announced on this occasion that he will pay tribute to the newlywed couple by presenting the anthem sung by Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.
PTI workers celebrated the marriage in Multan, Cheecha Watni and various other cities.
