SC forms 7-member larger bench to hear PM disqualification case

A larger bench headed by Justice Nasirul Mulk will hear the case.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Supreme Court Chief Justice Nasirul Maulk on Wednesday formed a seven-member larger bench to hear Prime Minister`s disqualification case.

The petitions seeking PM’s disqualification were filed by several plaintiffs including Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Ishaq Khakwan.

Lawyers of the petitioners are of the view that the case is very important, thus, a larger bench was needed to hear the case.

During initial hearing of the case, Justice Jawad S Khwaja had remarked that summary of Article 62 and 63 was also required during hearing of this case.

The case hearing will resume next week.
