PTI moves SC against alleged ballot bags tampering by NADRA

A petition has been filed in the SC against the alleged tapering of NA-118 ballot bags by NADRA.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Tuesday filed a petition in the Supreme Court (SC) against alleged tempering of ballot bags of NA-118.

The PTI in the petition took the stance that the alleged tempering of the bag was a plan orchestrated by Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).

The petition further said that the federal government removed former chairman National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) to carry out its plan. It said that Acting Chairman NADRA Imtiaz Tajwar was involved in the alleged tempering.

The PTI in its petition appealed to the court to appoint a local commission to ensure the protection of polling bags until thumb impression verification.

It is to mention here that a meeting of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Core Committee headed by party chief Imran held in Islamabad on Monday.

The Core Committee decided to move the Supreme Court (SC) against Acting Chairman National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), Imtiaz Tajwar for his alleged involvement in ballot bags tempering.

The Core Committee expressed serious concern over the alleged bag tampering by NADRA in the ballots of NA 118 of the party candidate Hamid Zaman.
