PM Nawaz approves promotion of 18 officers to grade 21
Prime Minister has approved Aftab Cheema's appointment as IG Islamabad.
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) – Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif today (Wednesday) approved promotion of ten officers of inland services and eight officers of foreign services group to grade 21, Dunya news reported.
As per details, Nadeem Asif has been made Secretary Esablishment while Aftab Cheema has been appointed Inspector General of Islamabad Police.
Eight officers of foreign services group include Iftikhar Aziz, Tanseem Aslam, Afrasayab Mehdi Hashmi, Sohail Mehmood, Khalid Usman Qaisar, Ayaz Hussain, Farooq Amil and Nadeem Riaz.
On the other hand, promotion cases of four officers were sent back to the central selection board.
The promoted officers of inland revenue services include Sardar Munawar Zaman, Seema Majeed, Ghulam Kazim Hussain, Sajjad Haider Khan, Muhammad Irshad Nadeem, Waqar Ahmed, Lubna Farrukh, Ikram Ghani, Tariq Pasha and Tasneem Rehman while cases of Rehmatullah Khan Wazir, Vishnu Ilyas, Raja Qavi Sheraz, Mirza Saleem Raza, Asif Ijaz and Asad Rasool were returned to the central selection board.
The Prime Minister has also approved transfers of several federal secretaries.
Nadeeem Asif has been made secretary establishment, Raja Hassan Abbas appointed secretary industries, Younas Dhaga has been given housing secretary s post, Rukhsana Saleem appointed climate change secretary and Shahid Rasheed has been made secretary of statistics division.
