CM Shahbaz meets Indian PM in New Delhi

CM Shahbaz arrived in India today on the invitation of his Punjab counterpart.

NEW DELHI (Web Desk) - Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif held a meeting with Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in New Delhi today (Thursday).

The two leaders discussed bilateral relations and agreed to enhance cooperation in trade‚ energy and information technology sectors.

CM Shahbaz arrived on the invitation of his Punjab counterpart in India, Parkash Singh Badal. He would also meet Commerce and Industry Minister Anand Sharma.

Shahbaz, who launched a Metro Bus Service project in Lahore, would also be visiting the Patel Chowk Metro station.

Keen to ease the power situation in Pakistan, he would be visiting the Timarpur-Okhla Solid Waste Management Project in Jasola and the New Delhi Mahatma Gandhi Thermal Power Plant, Jhajjar, village Khanpur Kalan, according to the Pakistan High Commission.

He is slated to be the chief guest at the World Kabaddi Championship final in Ludhiana on Saturday.
