Difa-e-Pakistan Council holds anti-drone protest in several cities
Jamat-ud-Dawa staged protest rally in Lahore against U.S. drone attacks.
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Protest rallies were held on Friday in various cities against the U.S. drone strikes on the appeal of Difa-e-Pakistan Council. (DPC).
Addressing a protest rally in Lahore, Jamat-ud-Dawa chief Hafiz Saeed said that the enemies of the country will continue their conspiracies until the government shows strong resistance to anti-Pakistan elements.
In Faisalabad, Sunni Tehreek staged a protest demonstration against U.S. drone attacks in Pakistan. The participants were carrying banners and placards and shouted anti-America slogans.
In Multan, Shehri Mahaz and Jamat-ud-Dawa held joint protest against drone strikes and shouted slogans against US government.
Difa-e-Pakistan Council also staged protest rally in Peshawar. The participants chanted slogans against the U.S. drone attacks and demanded of the federal government to block NATO supplies.
Addressing the gathering, leaders of Difa-e-Pakistan Council said that the protest sit-ins would be held across the country if the federal government failed to take steps to stop drones attacks on Pakistan’s territory.
