PML-Q threatens to quit alliance if reservations not removed

PML-Q has threatened to quit the coalition if its leaders are convinced to join PPP.

 

LAHORE (Dunya News) The talks between Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q) were scheduled to be held at Govenor’s House here on Tuesday to finalised the matters regarding seat adjustment in the upcoming general elections.


Manzoor Watto, Qamar Zaman Kaira and other leaders of the PPP were present to hold talks but Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Chaudhry Pervez Elahi boycotted the meeting and sent second leadership of the PML-Q.


Meanwhile, PML-Q leaders Raja Basharat, Chaudhry Zaheer and other members of the delegation refused to hold talks with the PPP leaders.


The PML-Q leaders said that this act of the PPP was violation of basic rules of the coalition.
