CNG closure enters 4th day; masses irked

Long queues of vehicles were stranded outside CNG pumps since midnight.


LAHORE: The commuters and motorists had to face severe hardships due to closure of CNG stations on fourth consecutive day.

 

It should be mentioned that under gas load management plan, the CNG stations were supposed to open at 6 in the morning on Thursday. However, the Sui Southern Gas Company Pipelines Limited (SSGPL) suspended the gas supply for CNG stations on the fourth consecutive day, extending the closure for another 24 hours.

 

Long queues of vehicles were stranded outside CNG pumps since midnight.

 

Soon after the announcement, the motorists protested against the closure and blocked Jail Road. The angry protesters chanted slogans against the government. Later, the police dispersed the angry mob.
