Feudal lords have ruined country: Shahbaz
Punjab CM has said the feudal lords have destroyed the nation only to perpetuate their domination.
SAHIWAL / NURPUR: Talking to a public gathering, he said that the rulers should follow glorious teachings of Islam which paved path for progress, prosperity and peace for humanity.
Quoting examples from Islamic history he urged the nation to follow their heroes in real sense.
He said the nation will have to follow fair play and justice for progress and prosperity. He said that elite class has turned the state into its personal property. This country was not established for a few politicians, lawyers, judges and generals; rather it had been created for the welfare of the down trodden.
He said that it was regrettable to see the miserable people wandering here and there in search of medicine.
“When I managed to visit far flung areas in Punjab, depressed creatures complained that influential persons had not only captured their immoveable property but also deprived them of their resources of living,” he said.
The nation, he said, will have to take a decision; either to lead a respectable life or be dependent on their ‘post-colonial masters’.
