Darul Uloom Karachi denies Rafi Usmani 'fatwa' about Qandeel Baloch
"It is baseless, fraud, letterhead it used was replaced by Darul Uloom long ago", Maulana Muzammil
KARACHI: (Web Desk) - A fatwa circulating on social media in the name of Maulana Rafi Usmani of Darul Uloom Karachi about Facebbok likes on the page of Pakistani model Qandeel Baloch has been termed as fraud by the Darul Uloom on Sunday.
According to Mufti Rafi Usmani s Personal Secretary Maulana Muzammil, the fatwa is a fraud and has nothing to do with Maulana Rafi Usmani. "Fraud. Totally fraud. It is me who forwards all the fatwas by Usmani sb to the media and elsewhere. He has said nothing about this. The fatwa circulating on the social media is baseless. The letterhead being shown in these photos has been replaced long ago and we do not issue Fatwas on that letterhead anymore.
The fatwa circulating on social media said that Mufti Rafi Usmani learned from some sources that Qandeel Baloch was uploading revealing images and videos of hers on social media. He said in the Fatwa that such things could not be permitted in Pakistani society and anyone liking or commenting on her posts was sinning. The fatwa is as follows:
