Bollywood actor Salman Khan performed the inauguration for his forthcoming movie, 'Society' at Mumbai by appearing for the maiden shot.This movie is being produced by Smita Thackeray who is the daughter-in-law of Bal Thackeray, chief of regional Hindu radical party, Shiv Sena. According to Hindu and Indian traditions, the Mahurat denotes the most auspicious time to begin an activity.This film is about living together happily. I don't understand the differences between the Hindus and the Muslims, as I am half Muslim and half Hindu. I just know that there are good or bad Hindus and good or bad Muslims, said Salman Khan.Veteran actor Daisy Irani who had made a mark playing the roles of a child during the 50s and 60s, accompanied by Javed Jaffrey and Reema Sen faced the camera for Mahurat shot of the film.
