Pakistan hits new low in football, ranked 198 out of 209 teams

According to FIFA rankings released today, Pakistan is now ranked at 198 out of total 209 teams

LAHORE: (Web Desk) – Pakistan has on Thursday hit a new low in football rankings as the men’s team was ranked at World No 198 out of the total 209 teams. Moreover, Pakistan is now ranked the last among the Asian countries.

Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) has released its latest rankings today (February 9, 2017) and has ranked Pakistan at 198 out of the total 209 teams.

The only teams ranking below Pakistan are Montserrat, Cayman Islands, Turks and Caicos Islands, San Marino, Andorra, British Virgin Islands, Anguilla, Bahamas, Djibouti, Eritrea, Gibraltar, Somalia and Tonga.

Last month’s rankings had Pakistan at 197 but this month the team has hit a new low.

Sri Lanka is ranked 196, India at 130, Nepal at 173, Bangladesh at 190, Bhutan at 177, Maldives at 140 while Afghanistan is ranked World No 151.
