BISP announces electricity, gas subsidy for poor families

The PM has announced that would subsidised electricity and gas for the poo families under the BISP.

Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani said that he belongs to Punjab and is more concerned than the CM about the problem faced by the province.Addressing to the inaugural ceremony of the new office of Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) in Islamabad, the prime minster said that a modern system to provide benefits of BISP to the deserving should be introduced equally throughout the country.The PM added that census for the poor has been conducted first time in the history of the country.Talking to the media after the ceremony, Gilani said that there was no timeframe in politics while the government has introduced new political culture by adopting reconciliation policy.The prime minister said that it was necessary to consult the opposition leader for the formation of the investigation commission but his suggestions were not binding on the government.The Supreme Court has nominated the commissions’ heads and now nobody should have any objection, the PM said.He concluded that the government was committed to supporting the families affected by terrorism and was striving for the economic development of the country.
