The dress worn by Kate Middleton at a charity event was auctioned for a staggering 78,000 pounds.

The dress was bought by an unidentified buyer in London, on Thursday. The auction price was originally expected to reach 10,000 pounds. The dress that was made for about 30 pounds ended up selling for 65,000 pounds excluding 18,000 pounds buyer’s fee.Kate Middleton won the see through dress at the St Andrews University fashion show, charity event in 2002. Prince William had paid for front row seats at the charity show. Middleton won the prince’s heart when she strutted down the aisle and it was at that moment, William’s interest in Middleton stirred and they began dating soon after.
