A list of the 20 safest airlines was recently released by AirlineRatings.com.

LAHORE (Web Desk) – Last year has seen a number of air accidents that have either completely or partially destroyed the plane and have taken precious lives.

A list of the 20 safest airlines was recently released by AirlineRatings.com after analyzing the record of 425 carriers around the world.

To compile its list, the website evaluated each airline based on its standing with international regulators, its fatality record over the past 10 years, its result from an International Air Transport Association (IATA) safety audit, and whether its country of origin conforms with the International Civil Aviation Organisation’s eight-point safety parameter.

Last year has seen a number of air accidents that have either completely or partially destroyed the plane and have taken precious lives.

A list of the 20 safest airlines was recently released by AirlineRatings.com after analyzing the record of 425 carriers around the world, reported Independent.

To compile its list, the website evaluated each airline based on its standing with international regulators, its fatality record over the past 10 years, its result from an International Air Transport Association (IATA) safety audit, and whether its country of origin conforms with the International Civil Aviation Organisation’s eight-point safety parameter.

Topping the list for the list for the fourth year is Australia’s Qantas, which has a fatality free record in the jet era.

The others were made up in the list in alphabetical order.

Air New Zealand has not suffered any significant incidents in the past couple of decades.

It was followed by Alaska Airlines which has not suffered a fatal crash since 2000.

Then came Nippon Airways that had not had a fatal crash in more than 45 years.

On the next slot was British Airways which has not experienced a fatal accident in three decades.

Cathay Pacific which also made to the list has not suffered a fatal accident since the 1960 while Delta Air Lines came next with no crash in more than two decades

With a perfect safety record, Abu Dhabi-based Etihad took the spot whereas Eva Air and Finnair were the next in list.
