US warns its citizens of possible terrorist attacks in India
The US has warned its citizens that they might be targeted in terrorist attacks on religious festivals in India this month. US Department of States issuing a new travel advisory warned that Americans should be careful and avoid traveling to India due to the apprehensions of possible terrorist attacks on religious festivals of Eid, Dewali and others. Several foreigners including Americans were killed in Mumbai terrorist attacks last year. The US statement maintains that hotels, religious and recreational spots can be the special target of the terrorists. American citizens have been advised to take strict safeguard measures on these locations. The new policy is issued till October 30.
