Berlin Zoo's polar bear star Knut has died.

According to his keeper, Heiner Kloes, the four year old animal was found Saturday afternoon floating in the water pool in the polar bear enclosure. The polar bear became famous around the world in 2006 when he was hand-raised by zoo keepers after being rejected by his mother at birth. It is not yet know how Knut died.
