Govt introduces 'Roshan Pakistan' app for electricity consumers

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The federal government on Tuesday introduced an app for electricity consumers where they will be notified of power outages as well as billing details.
‘Roshan Pakistan’ is available for Android smartphone users and can be downloaded through Google Play Store. It is launched under the banner of Power Information Technology Company (PITC).
The smartphone app will help power consumers to know their billing details. It will provide information regarding load shedding schedule.

Users will also be able to estimate their electricity bill by using its special feature called Bill Estimator. They will only have to insert their consumed units to know the exact value of their electricity bill.
"The Roshan Pakistan mobile application is a step forward towards making electricity consumers able to access Billing Details and Information regarding Load Shedding Schedule at their finger tips,” the app’s description says.
Regarding the app launch, the Federal Minister for Power Division Awais Leghari said that the mobile application will help the people, adding that millions of consumers will be able to know the feeder information through it.
