Now you can digitally fidget with Google's fidget spinner
The virtual fidget spinner works on both mobile and desktop web browsers
(Web Desk) - Google has finally joined in on the fidget spinner trend by embedding a virtual fidget spinner in its search engine.
Fidget spinners had recently launched into popularity with numerous fidget spinner trick and stunt videos on social media websites. Manufacturers had claimed that fidget spinners have health benefits such as relieving stress and anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), a claim not yet confirmed scientifically.
Now, people who have an obsession for fidget spinners don t need to buy a fidget spinner and get judgmental looks from those around you. Google has made it easy for those who want to go for a fidget spin by making a virtual fidget spinner available in their search engine.
Users can access the digital version of the fidget spinner by searching spinner in the Google search bar. This works both on all kinds of mobile and desktop browsers, so you can start fidgeting anywhere you want.
Upon hitting enter, the user is taken to a screen with a green and yellow fidget spinner. You can spin by pressing the spin button on the bottom or by clicking, holding and rotating it with your mouse (or your thumb if you are on a smartphone).
The fun does not end right there. Google also allows you to select a number option whereby a numbered wheel appears that you can spin in the same way as the fidget spinner. You also have the option of choosing a wheel size, with numbers from 2 to 20.
Google however, is not the first one to make a digital fidget spinner. Since the toy became popular, many app developers on have come up with various fidget spinner apps both on IOS and Android, that are quite popular. Google can take inspiration from these apps as these apps allow users to change the shape and colour of their fidget spinner. This would be much more attractive than the boring green and yellow fidget spinner that Google has come out with.
