Racing Club and Independiente draw 1-1 in the Argentine league.

Racing Club and Independiente drew 1-1 in the Argentine league on Sunday with the first goal coming in the first minute. Racings Colombian midfielder Giovanni Moreno took a throw-in towards the penalty area and although Independiente goalkeeper Fabian Assman blocked Gabriel Hauches first shot, the forward reacted well to turn and score.Just two minutes later Racing goalkeeper Sebastian Saja almost carried the ball back into his own net when catching a free kick.The equaliser came in the 28th minute when Saja dived to block a deflected shot and Facundo Parra pounced on the rebound.There was smoke and plenty of streamers around the stadium and during half-time some Racing fans could be seen arguing with riot police,but violence didnt erupt.The second half was quieter with the sides evenly matched.Racings Valentin Viola had a good run down the right in the 64th minute and crossed well for Colombian forward Teofilo Gutierrez to leap high and head for goal, but Assman dived to block.Racing are third in the league with 18 points, while Independiente are 13th on 11.
