Shahid Afridi will lead team in cricket World Cup 2011

Shahid Afridi will lead the Pakistan cricket team in World Cup 2011 and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will issue the notification on Friday(today).According to Pakistan cricket team manger Intikhab Alam that Shahid Afridi has been appointed as team captain for World Cup, to be held from February 19 April 2 in India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. He said it was decided that PCB Chairman Ijaz Butt would announce the name of World Cup captain in a press conference. But due to the victory of Pakistani team in OID series, the PCB chairman has informed him in a telephonic conversation. He said that PCB will announce Shahid Afridi's name today.
