Stosur, Tomic to team at Hopman Cup

PERTH, Australia (AP) - Former U.S. Open champion Sam Stosur will team with Bernard Tomic as hosts Australia attempt to break a 14-year title drought at the Hopman Cup mixed teams tennis tournament.
Stosur will play the event for the first time since 2010, while Tomic returns after beating world No. 1 Novak Djokovic at last year s tournament. He went on to reach the third round of the Australian Open, losing to Roger Federer, and the fourth round at Wimbledon.
World No. 4 Aganieszka Radwanska will team with Wimbledon semifinalist Jerzy Janowicz as Poland makes its debut at the tournament which runs from Dec. 28 to Jan 4.
Organizers said a new partner is being sought for France s Jo-Wilfried Tsonga after the sudden retirement of Wimbledon champion Marion Bartoli. Five more teams will be named over the coming month.
Radwanska hoped she and Janowicz can make a mark in Poland s debut.
"I ve never played mixed doubles with (Jerzy) before," Radwanska said. "Actually my last mixed doubles match was I think five years ago, so that will be fun for sure."
