Quetta: Students lock up college principal to press demand

The protest by the students against the administration of Government Girls Degree College Cantt, Quetta enters second day on Saturday. According to reports reaching here, the girls ransacked the college property and thrashed teachers to register their anger against a bus driver with whom they had a clash some two days back. The angry students called off their protest after having a dialogue but this morning they again turned furious as their demand to sack the driver was not accepted. The girls locked up the principal in her office and started chanting slogans and demanded sacking of the said driver forthwith. Meanwhile, provincial education minister Tahir Mohammad Khan and provincial minister Rahila Durrani are holding a dialogue with the students. Media is barred from covering the incident.
