SC orders Reshma Power Plant to pay back Rs 4 billion

The SC has ordered the Reshma Power Plant to pay Rs 4 billion by tomorrow along with interest.

The Supreme Court continued the hearing of RPPs today. The attorney for the Reshma Power Plant informed the court that the company has agreed to pay Rs 2.5 billion. The court ordered the company to pay Rs 4 billion by tomorrow, along with the interest.Federal Minister Faisal Saleh Hayat who was present on the occasion suggested since the amount was paid in dollars to the company, the company should also pay back in the same currency.Chief Justice remarked the said company has failed to fulfill the agreement. The court also said the NEPRA has admitted the irregularities in the RPPs.
