Petroleum Ministry seeks new gas tax

Ministry of Petroleum has sought permission to impose new tax on gas consumers.

The Ministry for Petroleum has sent a summary to the Cabinet, demanding the expense for the construction of Iran-Turkmenistan gas pipeline projects be procured from the masses.Imposition of new gas tax would be decided in the cabinet session to be held on Wednesday.The bill will be put before the Parliament after consent of the Cabinet.
