PML-Ns MNA Anjum Aqeel has been declared proclaimed offender.

Saparately, police have arrested 50 men accused of helping Anjum Aqeel escape from the Shalimar Police Station.Twenty-one accused have been sent on judicial remand while eleven on physical remand. However, the police officials accused of negligence have been granted bail.As per details, 32 people accused of helping PML-N’s MNA escape from police custody were presented before an Anti-Terrorism Court in Rawalpindi.Judge Malik Akram Awan ordered handing over 11 accused to Shalimar Police Station on remand for five days while 21 were sent to the Adiala Jail on judicial remand.On the other hand, a judicial inquiry is underway into the incident.At the first stage, the statements by SP Nadeem Hussain, SHO Fiaz Tanoli, SDPO Ahmad Iqbal and other duty officers were recorded.Deputy Commissioner Amer Ali Ahmad said he had visited the site of occurrence and the inquiry report would be sent to the Interior Ministry.On the other hand, police is carrying out raids in different areas to arrest PML-N MNA. Sources also have claimed that the accused party is trying to woo the claimant Sabahat Ali, offering him special packages for reconciliation.
