Abdul Razak Dawood denies allegations of illegal Indian drug imports

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Trade Advisor Abdul Razak Dawood has rejected allegations of illegal import of drugs from India saying that everything imported from India was for use in life saving drugs only.

In an informal discussion with reporters, Abdul Razak Dawood said that the allegations of importing normal drugs under the guise of life saving drugs from India were false. He said a large list of medicines imported from India was presented to the federal cabinet.

The trade adviser ruled out resumption of bilateral trade with India, saying it was not possible without resolving the Kashmir issue. He said resumption of trade with India is a sensitive issue and not in his power.

He said that he holds an opinion on resumption of bilateral trade with India which he has already presented to the concerned authorities.
