Miscreants attack KESC grid station, 27 feeders closed

Electricity supply in parts of Clifton and Defence was suspended after 27 KESC feeders were closed.

Armed miscreants attacked the Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) Grid Station due to which 27 feeders were closed and resultantly, electricity supply in parts Clifton and Defence was suspended.According to the KESC officials, unidentified miscreants attacked the Clifton grid station late at night and forcefully closed the 27 feeders supplying electricity to Clifton and Defence. As a result, electricity supply to Bilawal House, Kamari Centre, Shireen Jinnah Colony, Bathaisland, Ziauddin Hospital and several other regions was suspended. The miscreants also created chaos outside the KESC office and torched one motorbike and a car. Upon receiving news about the incident, police and Rangers arrived at the scene and controlled the situation but the miscreants managed to escape.
