WikiLeaks reveals several facts about Pakistani politics during second half of the last decade.

The separation movement in Balochistan will be intensified after Nawab Akbar Bugti’s killing, wrote Peter W Bodde, a US diplomat in Pakistan, in a cable sent in August 2006, reveals WikiLeaks.Initially, the government had declared Bugti’s killing a big success but distant itself from the incident after strong reaction from Balochistan. The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) termed the killing extra-judicial and distant itself from the government.Another WikiLeaks cable reveals that Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) Chief Shujaat Hussain wanted to get the Hadood Ordinance Bill passed at the earliest.The US diplomat also said that Shujaat was trying to break Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal by creating a conflict between Fazlur Rehman and Qazi Hussain Ahmed.The government and foreign diplomats believed that there was no use of talks with Fazl, reveals another cable.
