Health Ministry proposes to form Drug Regulatory Authority

Health Ministry has proposed the federal government to keep the medicine sector with it.

According to sources, Health Ministry has proposed that a 10 member policy board should run the Drug Regulatory Authority. Head of the board should be nominated by the federal government while the representatives from the provinces should also be included in the board.The ministry also proposed to bring the issuance of licenses, registration and pricing under the control of the Drug Regulatory Authority.The implementation commission has directed the Health Ministry to consult the provinces for the formation of Drug Regulatory Authority.
