Chinese company shows interest in completing Karachi's K-IV water project

Gezhouba Group expressed the importance of the project and showed an interest in it.

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Chinese company Gezhouba Group has penned down a letter to Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah showing keen interest in completing the bulk water supply project, K-IV, in Pakistan.

Company’s executive general manager Shi Yu expressed: “[We] noticed that … things are not going smoothly due to the infeasible design.” Gezhouba Group expressed the importance of the project, and showed interest in “participating” by providing design and construction support.

Sources said that CM Sindh has directed the municipality to work on the Chinese offer. Local Government Secretary Roshan Ali Shah has convened a meeting on Jan 27 in this regard.
