Karachi: Newborn girl burnt to death after fire breaks out in NICH

A few days ago, a fire broke out in the gynae ward of Jinnah Hospital

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Two days old girl was burnt to death on Thursday after fire broke out in National Institute for Child Health (NICH) Karachi.

According to details infant girl died after incubator was burnt due to fire. Executive Director of Hospital Jamal Raza clarified that fire increased due to presence of oxygen in the incubator.

Chief Minister Sindh sought a report of the incident as relatives of girl demanded investigation of the incident.

According to sources mother of girl Iqra Bibi who is resident of Muzaffar Garh was visiting her family in Manzoor Colony. A minor operation of girl was scheduled in Jinnah Hospital after her birth in the same institute two days ago.
