Electricity tariff increased by Rs 1.07 per unit

National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (Nepra) has raised power tariff by Rs 1.07 per unit.

According to a Dunya News report, the decision to increase electricity tariff has been taken in view of increase in the furnace oil prices.The tariff will be implemented from next month and the consumers’ electricity bills are likely to be doubled.The tariff increase is for all power distribution companies, said the report.
