Altaf criticises Punjab government on PCS officers issue

The MQM leader says PCS officers were protesting for their rights and their arrest was baseless.

Criticising the appointment of 1,200 District Management Group (DMG) officers in Punjab, Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) leader Altaf Hussain said that bypassing of the Provincial Civil Services (PCS) officers was injustice. He also condemned the arrest of 73 officers.According to a statement issued from London, Altaf said that peaceful protest was the right of every citizen. He also demanded that marginalisation of the PCS officers in other provinces should also be addressed to remove their sense of deprivation.
