PPP won't allow delay in general elections, the party spokesperson said.

Karachi (Dunya News): The Pakistan People’s Party has rejected the statement of Daniyal Aziz on delimitation of constituencies and the demand for holding the general elections as per old census.

PPP central spokesperson Nafisa Shah said that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) wanted to postpone elections.

She said that the PPP won’t allow delay in general elections. She added that the meeting Daniyal Aziz had referred to was not attended by any PPP representative. She said that parliament had unanimously amended the law for smooth holding of general elections and now the PML-N wanted to backtrack from its stance.

She said that the Election Commission of Pakistan and the Supreme Court were appropriated forums to decide on delimitation of constituencies.
