Khawaja Asif has responded to Donald Trump's latest stance over Pakistan and terrorism.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Foreign minister Khawaja Asif has responded to United States (US) president Donald Trump’s criticism on Pakistan by saying that Pakistan would let the world know the difference between facts and fiction shortly.

Response to Trump’s stance of “no more” to Pakistan regarding the aid came around an hour after the US president tweeted: “The United States has foolishly given Pakistan more than 33 billion dollars in aid over the last 15 years.”

The foreign minister stated on Twitter: “Will let the world know the truth..difference between facts & fiction...” Asif was applauded in sections of the society last year for one of his interviews given during his US visit.



During the interview, he responded to United States call for Pakistan to do more against terror outfits namely Haqqani network. Pakistan has maintained that an indiscriminate action has been taken against operatives of all banned outfits across Pakistan.

While briefing the Senate upon his return, he had demanded off the US government to provide actionable intelligence on terrorists instead of resorting to rhetoric.

“The discussion (with US) will be according to Pakistan’s policies. The sovereignty and interests (of Pakistan) will be kept in mind while framing policies,” he stated.

The government has further maintained that terrorists use Afghan soil against Pakistan through border infiltration and handlers managing attacks across the border.
