UK to enhance aid for Pakistan

The United Kingdom has vowed to increase aid for Pakistan during the next four years.

UK High Commissioner in Pakistan Adam Thamsa has outlined aid plans for Pakistan for the next four years, which includes getting four million more children into school. The plan will prevent 3,600 women deaths in childbirth, and get two million more people to vote at the next general election, according Adam Thamsa. He said that increase in aid was dependent on securing value for money and results, and will be calibrated to the Government of Pakistan’s own progress on reform, including taking tangible steps to build a more dynamic economy, strengthen the tax base, and tackle corruption. He further said that UK has deep ties with Pakistan.
