Dense fog disrupts traffic, routine life across country

Due to dense fog, Motorway has been closed for all kinds of heavy traffic.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Several areas of the country continue to reel under intense cold wave as temperatures declined at most of the places on Friday.

Due to dense fog, Motorway M-2 Islamabad is closed for all kinds of heavy traffic.

According to spokesman of Motorway Police, Motorway M-2 from Kot Moman to Lahore and from Kot Moman to Faisalabad while Motorway M-4 from Gojra to Khanewal has been shut for all kinds of traffic.

Zero visibility has been reported from Kharian to Kala Shah Kaku and from Sadhoke to Khori. On the other hand, the visibility on highway from Lahore to Bahawalpur is 100 meter due to heavy fog.

In Sindh, the visibility on highway is 40 to 60 meters at Tehri.

The commuters have been advised to use fog lights during fog and contact at helpline 130 for any query about fog on motorways and highways.

The thick fog has also crippled the routine life of the people forcing the people to remain indoor. Met Office predicts additional snowfall on mountains that will add more chill to the cold weather in coming days.
